This method can use when you are with Yahoo, iCloud or Google for they stand as email providers for iDevices. All you have to use is your email address and its password.

  • First of all, navigate to the device Settings app and its Passwords and Accounts option
  • Select Add Account right away
  • Then you can select your email provider there
  • When you will ask for login details, give your username and the password
  • Select Next option and stay for a few minutes for the verification of your account
  • After that, select information from the account such as Calendars or Contacts
  • And finally, select the Save option

Note: If you still do not see the email provider there, you have to turn to the next method to add the email address manually.

Add email account manually

Email settings are the most important preparation when you are ready to arrange your email address manually. Therefore, find out them or contact the respective email provider for accurate settings details. Once you are with settings details, go through the following steps.

  • Go to the Settings app of the device and Passwords & Accounts option
  • Select Add Account
  • And then go through Other > Add Email Account options respectively
  • Now you have to fill your name, email address and its password and description that you wish to create for the specific account
  • Select Next option
  • So the process will start and will find out own settings and complete it within a few minutes
  • Click “Done” and end the process

Important

You have to go through this when the email account cannot find out its details during the process.

  • Firstly, pick up POP or IMAP for the new account. Contact your email provider if you do not know which should select here
  • And then, give all details for Outgoing Mail Server and Incoming Mail Server
  • Use the Next button to continue the process
  • When your settings are properly arranged, select Save option
  • But there is an edit option for those who got to know details are wrong
